PRIORITIES

A STRONGER CYPRESS. A BRIGHTER FUTURE.

Cypress is already a great place to live. My goal is to make sure it remains one. That requires responsible stewardship of what we've built while being willing to invest in what comes next.

1. KEEP CYPRESS SAFE & FINANCIALLY STRONG

Public safety and financial responsibility are the foundation of a strong community.

I will continue supporting strong partnerships with our police and fire agencies while making sure we plan responsibly for the long term.

That means protecting essential services, managing pensions and long-term obligations responsibly, maintaining our infrastructure and making every taxpayer dollar count.

Fiscal responsibility isn't about saying no to everything. It's about making smart investments in the things that matter most.

2. SUSTAINABLE & CONTROLLED DEVELOPMENT

Cypress can grow without losing its identity. I support development that is thoughtful, appropriately scaled and consistent with the character of our neighborhoods. New development should be planned alongside the infrastructure, roads, parks, public services and community amenities needed to support it.

We should welcome opportunities that strengthen our city, but we should also ask the hard questions:

-Does this make Cypress better?

-Does our infrastructure support it?

-Does it fit with our community?

-Does it provide a lasting benefit to residents?

Growth should be intentional, not accidental.

3. SUPPORT OUR SCHOOLS & TEACHERS

Our schools are among Cypress's greatest assets.

While the city doesn't run our schools, City Hall can, and should, be a strong partner to our school districts, teachers, families and students.

I want to strengthen communication and collaboration between the city and our schools and identify practical ways we can support education, student activities, safe routes to school, community programs and the teachers who do so much for our children.

Investing in our schools is investing in the future of Cypress.

Strong schools build strong communities.

4. INVEST IN OUR PARKS, STREETS & PUBLIC SPACES

The places we share are part of what makes Cypress feel like home. I want to continue investing in our parks, streets, sidewalks and public facilities while rethinking how our community spaces serve residents of every age.

That includes exploring better spaces for teens, refreshed parks, splash pads and recreation opportunities for families, as well as safe, accessible walking spaces and amenities for seniors. Great cities aren't just measured by what they build. They're measured by how people experience their neighborhoods every day.

5. MAKE MENTAL HEALTH A COMMUNITY PRIORITY

Mental health matters.

Especially for our children and young people.

This isn't an abstract issue to me. It is something I believe our community needs to talk about openly and address with compassion, resources and action.

Mental health resources were the first issue I brought forward at the City Council dais, because I believe local government has a role to play in connecting residents with information, resources and organizations that can help.

I will continue working to expand awareness, strengthen partnerships and make sure our residents know where to turn when they or someone they love needs support.

No family should feel like they have nowhere to turn.

6. REAL SOLUTIONS FOR HOUSING & A STRONGER TAX BASE

Cypress needs thoughtful solutions to housing affordability that work for residents while protecting the character of our community.

That means looking at opportunities for appropriately scaled housing, including ways to help families, young adults and seniors remain connected to the community they call home.

But housing policy is also about the long-term financial health of our city.

Responsible development can strengthen our local tax base and help provide the resources we need to maintain our schools, public services, parks, infrastructure and quality of life.

We need housing solutions that work for people, and a city budget that works for everyone

7. BUILD A PERFORMING ARTS COMPLEX IN CYPRESS

Cypress has incredible creative talent.

I know that firsthand.

I've spent nearly two decades building a local performing arts business and creating opportunities for dancers, performers and families in our community.

I believe Cypress can think bigger.

A performing arts complex could give our local creatives a place to perform, learn and grow while attracting audiences from throughout Orange County and our surrounding communities.

But this isn't just about the arts.

It's about economic development.

A successful performing arts destination could bring visitors to Cypress, create opportunities for local businesses, support jobs and attract the kind of restaurants, dining and entertainment that residents want.

More visitors mean more activity for local businesses and more opportunities to generate important tax revenue for our city.

Let's build a Cypress where people don't just live—they come to visit, create, perform, eat and experience something special.
